Yesterday, Debra and I traveled to Memphis to visit Brenda Prince who was seriously injured in a car accident last week. Initially she was taken to the Dyersburg hospital, then transported by helicopter to The MED in Memphis where she was in the trauma intensive care unit. Yesterday, she was moved to a step-down unit and is in a lot of pain. It was only the hand of the Lord that she is still alive tonight.
This morning, we went to St. Jude’s Medical Center (also in Memphis) to be with the family of Justin Tollett. Justin underwent surgery for a brain tumor. Justin and his family are from Crossville where is Grandfather Pastor Eddie Kilgore serves as pastor. There was a large group of supporters there and we continue to pray for Justin’s recovery.
We left Memphis and headed for the Chattanooga area where we arrived just a few-minutes ago. Vernetta Reid, the wife of Pastor Winston Reid (Wildwood Ave, Cleveland) will be undergoing heart surgery tomorrow at Erlanger hospital. Vernetta is also the mother of International co-youth director Trevor Reid.
Also tomorrow, Pastor Geneva Carter of the Livingston church will be undergoing knee-replacement surgery at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville. She was scheduled for last week but due to complications, could not have the surgery.
Also, we learned the Bishop Raymond M. Pruitt, former overseer and author of “Fundamentals of the Faith,” passed away. Bishop Pruitt was a real blessing to me and so many others. I was ordained Bishop under his leadership in 1986. Please help me pray for his family, more information will be posted later.
Finally, I am serving as the interim pastor at the Roberts Tabernacle church in Westmoreland due to the sudden and unexpected passing of Pastor Gary Clements. I do appreciate your prayers
