Today, I received a note from my friend (we all call him Gena – the “G” has the sound of “G” as in Good), about the work in Belarus which is part of the former Soviet Union. I am sharing his greeting today with some pictures explaining their outreach:
I hope you are doing well.
I just want to share with you our good news.
Some time ago young people from our church decided to raise money for the orphans. In our country we have National holiday called a Victory day. On that very day our youth went out on the opened marketplace in the town to sell their handmade stuff. My daughter Nastya was selling earrings that she made by herself.
Masha was selling postcards. And Olga did face painting on the kids. Almost all day long there was a line.
It was really great time for our youth, they could serve and also could raise some money for the orphans, they were completely exhausted but so happy!
On last Saturday we had seminar for pastors and leaders. It was a very good time. We discussed church growth and practical evangelism.
Our church in Mogilev is growing. Pastor Artur has a special vision to serve homeless and hurting people. After prayer meeting every Friday he with the team going to the special places to serve them. Many of those people haven’t houses and live on the streets or railroad stations.
The team from the church bring them food, clothes, sometimes wash them and always share about love of Christ. On the last Sunday eight newcomers was visited church. And three of them gave their lives to Christ. They was praying on the knees. It was a great joy for all of us.
Thank you so much for your prayers and your support.
