Earlier this month, Debra and I left the United States to visit the countries of Argentina and Uruguay in South America with the Church of God of Prophecy World Language Director, Bishop Gabriel Vidal.
We left the Nashville airport in mid-afternoon on a Thursday, and flew to Atlanta, where we traveled all night (leaving at 8:30 p.m.) for our destination of Buenos Aries, Argentina. We were excited to make the trip, as this was the first time to South America for either of us. We had great anticipation of what we would see, of the people we would meet and sensed the Lord had opened a door of ministry for us. It would be a great time to see a few old friends, and make some new ones.
When we arrived the next morning at about 8:30 a.m., we were met at the airport by the National Overseer of Argentina, Bishop Francisco Lopez. We were blessed to visit two churches on the first day, and meet the very special pastors. After the visits (which I will describe later) we returned to Bishop Lopez’s home.
When we arrived at Bishop Lopez’s home, we received a warm greeting from his lovely wife, and young son, Frankie. We had enough time to rearrange our suitcases, and visit a short time before it was to a different airport for an evening flight to Montevideo, Uruguay. Tomorrow, I will share a bit about our arrival and greeting there.
