Last night I was privileged to drop in on a great fellowship service at the Hickory Valley Church in Chattanooga. This fellowship service is one of the “FIFTH SUNDAY” that takes place across the state on a regular basis.
The idea is simple. On the months there are five Sundays, the District Presbyter organizes a Sunday evening worship service in one of the churches in his area of responsibility. The events are a great time to connect with other churches in your area and for our pastors to get to know one another a little better.
In last night’s fellowship, Darren Shalk, the Director of the Christian Education Department at the International Offices brought a great message from Matthew 11. I encourage you to take advantage of special events like this when they are taking place in your area. May the Lord bless you.
