Debra and I arrived home from Argentina this morning. We were given a wonderful opportunity to share in the ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy in South America this past week, and we make life-time memories, and many new friends. To experience the joy of ministry in a totally different culture than my own has once again cause my worldview to stretch a bit more.
Our churches in Uruguay and Argentina struggle just like everywhere else, but it was amazing to see their love for one another, and the “gringos” from the United States was an exceptional blessing. I saw so many things during this past seven days, that it will require more than one post to share, but I hope to do that beginning next week.
After rising at a little after 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning (Wednesday) we had a full day of travel in the city of Buenos Aries, and then made it to the airport just in time for our flight to the United States. While rest escaped us on the jet, we were happy to be returning to see our family, and to our field of labor in Tennessee. We will get into the bed late today, after being away about 40 hours, but I’m sure we will sleep well. Then we are off to the campground for the Tennessee Ladies Day.
I do hope you will check back daily as I post many of the pictures and stories of the hard work, sacrifice and love of the people of South America. God bless you.
