Just a quick note to say thanks to all of you who have been praying for my recovery. When I returned from the mission trip to the Ukraine, I came down with a bug of some type that became pneumonia. When I went to the doctor, she told me that I was pretty much worn down which made it easier to get sick.
The doctor ordered me to bed rest last week and I was “laid up” from late Tuesday night until returning to the office a partial day today. While I am still weak, and at times have difficulty getting a deep breath, I do know that I am recovering.
So many of you called the office, house and cellphone, while others sent email wishes….I just wanted to leave a general thank you for your kindness and consideration, and appreciate your understanding as I try to “slow-down” for the next little while.
It was so funny, but Bishop Weakley (our former State Overseer and my mentor) called and told me that Jesus said, “come apart,” and that we have to do that every once in a while so we won’t “come apart.” I’ve heard Brother Weakley say that so many times, and can remember him saying it from the State Convention platform…now I’ve lived it. Yes, sir Brother Weakley, you were right.
I do love all of you deeply and appreciate your kindness and concern. God bless.
