Their church had been doing well under the capable leadership of David and Jeanie Malone, but you would think it would be an insurmountable task. This local church, known as “House on the Rock” was a combination of two congregations, when the Anthony Hill church was merged with the House on the Rock church.
The Lord opened the door to sell the properties at Anthony Hill and the local church building in Pulaski. This proceeds of the sale were held in trust by the Tennessee State Administrative Offices while land was purchased on the primary route of US 64, between Pulaski and Interstate 65.
David and Jeannie and the congregation worked hard to build a church for the glory of the Lord and they have done a wonderful job. While these are not the latest photos, they give you a good view of the work that has been done.
Is your church looking for a mission opportunity? Are you personally looking to donate to a worthwhile project? This local church is trying to raise money for the pews to be placed in the local church at a cost of about $400 each. A local businessman and community leader has agreed to purchase the first one if I will purchase the last one. I have agreed and now we only need to fill in the blanks. This might be a great project for a local church youth group, or as a project of a Sunday School class.
In keeping with our vision of harvesting and discipleship, I have chosen to make this need known first. If you might be interested in contributing, I can promise that every penny raised for this project will go to the House on the Rock church for this project.
