Hello. I trust today is a goo day for you, and that the Lord is blessing you abundantly. I am posting a little early today, because the day’s activities are going to keep us moving, and I don’t want to miss an opportunity to write something today.
As I write, Debra and I are at a McDonald’s (you know the Irish restaurant) finishing up a cup of coffee before hitting the road.
Gordonsville Family Worship Center
In just a few minutes, we will be heading out for Gordonsville where Debra is scheduled as a guest speaker at the local church for their ladies day. Cindy Peoples, the pastor’s spouse invited Debra some-time-ago, and she has been looking forward to visiting the church today. It is only about an hour away, so we still have time to get there.
John and Martha Cassidy
We have to leave Gordonsville immediately after Debra finishes in order to get to Cleveland for the 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration for John and Martha Cassidy, long-time members of the Church of God of Prophecy. When Debra scheduled her trip to Gordonsville, I didn’t realize that we had double-booked to be somewhere, (my bad, as the kids say) and we have to “burn the road up” getting to Cleveland before the celebration ends at 4:00 p.m. EST.
West Tennessee District Meeting
We then have to leave Cleveland and travel to Memphis for the District meeting with the churches in that section of the state. We have had two great meetings so far, and I am expecting this one to be exceptional as well. We are hoping that we won’t pass ourselves on the way to all of our travels.
My Encouragement To You
At any rate, with our schedule full, I am fully aware that ever though the miles may (or may not) pile up for our pastors, I appreciate their labor of love as they serve 24-hours-a-day and seven-days-a-week. I pray for the pastor and his/her family as they serve God’s people this weekend, and I give thanks to the faithful membership of the Church of God of Prophecy in Tennessee. You are wonderful people, and we love you so much. God bless.
